We’re thrilled to present the 2020/21 SPAR Lancashire School Games. A very warm welcome to you all.
Following on from the success of last year’s SPAR Lancashire School Games Stay at Home Programme and with the continued restrictions Lancashire School Games Organisers have decided to create some new virtual resources for Schools to use during Term 1.
The start of this year will certainly be different, but the School Games will continue! The Games ensure that physical activity and competition are available to support young peoples’ wider development, including their ability to re-socialise and improve their physical and mental well-being.
The School Games are designed to be age appropriate and you will find a selection of activities along with a mix of competitions and challenges, both intra-school and inter-school.
There are four sports for you to explore during Term 2: Netball, Handball, Rugby & Dance
Each sport offers an opportunity to all young people. Please see the formats and supporting documents below, which will explain the activities, the rules and outline the scoring systems.
Each local SGO has their own deadline. You can find SGO details here.
Calling all Special Schools! You can take part in 4 challenges this term to help young people move more and be active. Access formats, score sheets and all the information needed to take part here.
To celebrate the importance of Physical Education and school sport this summer, we have created some fun resources to be active, move more and challenge yourself and friends
Take part in workouts from pro athletes and challenges set by Lancashire SGO's. There is something for everyone!
As part of the Holiday activities and food programme for Lancashire we have compiled some resources created as part of the SPAR Lancashire School Games and resources from the best national providers to help you be active and have fun during the summer.
